Secrets
are sometimes a good thing. This happens to be the case with a tiny, luxury
store tucked away in a row house on U Street in Washington, DC. Moojoo
Ken means "unconditional" in Japanese, as the owners have drawn
on their extensive travels to inspire their collection.
The cozy boutique offers up a colorful, eclectic line that features a childhood
dream
emblem.
The collection
of unique handbags, shoes, and boots take their names from historic and exciting
Washington, DC neighborhoods, streets, and locales.
All
of the Moojoo Ken brand line contains some shape or form of the emblem. A
pair of funky, black platform pumps can be matched with a similar patterned
handbag. And almost every handbag, shoe or boot is a brother, sister or cousin
to another. Washington, DC may not be known for clothing and accessory designers,
but Moojoo Ken is trying to change that perception. We have worked for a whole
year designing, printing, making samples, correcting, redoing, in other words,
striving to create an exemplary, finished product.
