FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 2007

Secrets are sometimes a good thing. This happens to be the case with a tiny, luxury collection and design house tucked away in a row house on U Street in Washington, DC. Climb the 25 narrow steps to find treasures delicately displayed in a peaceful Asian-inspired environment. Moojoo Ken means "unconditional" in Japanese, as the owners have drawn on their extensive travels to inspire their collection and designs.

This Washington, DC design label has just released a very limited edition handbag (15 pieces), "The Crane Handbag." This special handbag was created exclusively for Naomi's Hope for a Cure (see www.hope4acure.net) and was commissioned to raise funds to improve the quality of life for our nation's littlest cancer patients. One Hundred percent of the proceeds from this limited edition are being donated to the foundation.

Describing the handbag, picture two tethered golden crane birds nestled in rich yellow and golden leather. The birds are important in Japanese culture, signifying devotion. A message "HOPE" is embossed on the underside of the bag, reminding the wearer to keep their bag filled with hope at all times. Triangular shapes suggest mountains that must be climbed, and the laces have been tied "just so," to complete the message of the bag. An optional shoulder strap accompanies. Measures 16x13x5 inches. Moojoo Ken's suggested price for this luxury handbag is $525.

A few of the handbags will be gifted to the foundation's important contributors, and some of the handbags will be auctioned at the gala this November 16, 2007.
